    Dancing in Cobourg

For those interested, weekly Scottish Country dancing classes are available in Cobourg, on Wednesday evenings at C.R. Gummow Public School.  See the details here:

Several requests to join have recently been received from potential new dancers.   Starting on February 19, classes will be structured as follows:    7 pm sharp - steps and formation practice for new participants, hopefully bolstered by the presence of a few experienced dancers; 7:30 - combined dancing for beginning dancers and intermediate / advanced dancers; and 8:15 to 9:30 - dancing for intermediate / advanced dancers.

The Cobourg group will be hosting a 2024-2025 season end dance at Victoria Hall in Cobourg, a magnificent building with one of the best floors for dancing in Canada.   Live music with Helen Batten and Blair Mackenzie.   Here are links to the poster for the event and the dance cribs

PSCDS Picnic 2025:  The club's annual Picnic will take place on August 10, 3 pm on, with dancing from 6 to 8 pm.   It's a pot-luck event.  The location and other details have been shared directly with all members via e-mail.  If you are a club member and did not receive the email, please let us know through the contact form on this website.

Barbara Roberts:    We note with regret that longtime PSCDS member Barbara Roberts died on July 1, age 98.    Barbara and her husband Ken were demonstration dancers with the club.   Here's a link to her obituary.
